Margaret Reese

I have loved Art and have been involved in the artistic process as far back as I can remember.  Early success in Art at Livonia Bentley High School encouraged and motivated me to pursue Art as my major at Michigan State University.  It was there that I completed my BA in Art Education, and went further at Eastern Michigan University to complete my MA in Art Education as well.  I had a wonderfully fulfilling career as a middle and high school Art Educator in the Grosse Pointe Public School system for 32 years. I have since retired, remarried (changed my last name from Rose to Reese), and moved to Bloomfield with the love of my life, Michael.  I have two beautiful daughters, one in Grosse Pointe, and the other in San Francisco.  I have finally found more time to paint (and exhibit paintings), hike, bike, kayak, travel, be with my family, friends, and enjoy life in general! I am so looking forward to the fellowship and growth that I know I will find with the Detroit Society of Women Painters and Sculptors.
