Art has always thrilled me - both looking at it and creating it. My parents were both artistic and they encouraged creativity and art appreciation. What a joy it was when my parents would take us to the DIA as children. I vividly remember the King Tut and the Van Gogh exhibits. Van Gogh’s bright colors & lively brushstrokes have greatly influenced my art. I painted off and on through my adult years, including a collection of mandalas. It wasn't until I retired that I had the time to fully indulge my desire to create art. Currently, I am enjoying painting with watercolors and adding collage. I collect and create a wide variety of collage papers. I paint whatever I feel passionate about, and I enjoy expressing it all through color. I gained so much through the classes I've taken and my friendships with other artists. There is something new to learn with every class, every painting.
