Kailee Hanson

Kailee Hanson is an interdisciplinary artist from Rochester, Michigan now based in Detroit. She attends the College for Creative Studies in the Interdisciplinary Art and Design program and specializes in jewelry metalsmithing, figure drawing, mixed media, and digital illustration. From sculptural-based jewelry to high-detail illustrations, her approach to art is based on intuition and a strong interest in anatomy and the natural world. Most notable are her Butterfly Metamorphosis Earring set and dramatic Seashell Armor wearable. She most recently explored the essence of self through anatomical paintings, mixed media processes, and found material additions. She is currently working to further bridge the gap between naturalistic painting and textile additions.
