Theresa Lannen spent April through July 2025 car-camping solo in the American West. She came back with a box full of paintings, 80 pounds of rocks for sculpting, and mountains of anecdotes about good-natured people, serendipitous discoveries, how-to’s for living in a car for three months, alarming wildfires, bears (she met none), John Muir, and the smell of the mountains. She held the audience spellbound except when they were laughing at her wonderful story-telling.
