Global Art Project for Peace

DSWPS members and other local artists have created small artworks expressing world peace which will be forwarded to artists in another country in an international exchange of peace sponsored by the International Global Art Project. The exhibit consists of images of the outgoing artworks paired with those received from Australian and Canadian, which the participants will receive in return. This exhibit celebrates the Global Art Project’s 15th Biennial Exchange: Joyously Creating a Culture of Peace. www.globalartproject.org.

The Global Art Project for Peace was founded by Katherine Josten in 1994 to create a global community through art. It has inspired over 160,000 participants in 95 countries on seven continents and was nominated for a UNESCO Prize for the Promotion of Tolerance and Non-Violence.

Artists please note: pickup is scheduled for September 9th. Information: Carol Cook Reid, 734-250-5224, c.cook.reid@gmail.com or Deborah Benedic (DSWPS liaison)
