      Noteworthy ...

      .  Each year, the society awards a $1,000 scholarship to a female
         student at the College for Creative Studies.

     .   DSWPS members are from all over metro Detroit.
     
     .   Berkley resident Elizabeth Yorgen, 94, has been a member since
         1970. She still paints large canvases that depict everything from
         realistic highway interchanges to professional sports to abstract
         energy processes.

    
    Meetings are generally
    held on the third
    Thursday of the month from
    September to May.

    Meeting locations are
    rotated about the Detroit
    Metropolitan Area.

    Meetings include
    business meeting and an
    educational or inspirational
    program.
